WEEK OF THE PEACHES
Periana is famous for being the village in Spain where the best peaches grow. From 22 until 24 of August, the village organises a feria in honor of this delicious fruit. In Cantueso we love our village and its products. So this week we offer lots of special dishes, all made with peaches from Periana!

Wine tasting 29th of may
The 29th of May, Ron Haarman presented another great wine tasting at Cantueso Restaurant. Spring in Cantueso was its theme, so lots of fresh and sparkling tasted in the wines and the food. Looking forward to the next tasting on the 26th of June. And this will be a special one, as we are going to taste blindfolded again!

WINNER RUTA DE LA TAPA 2025
We are proud to anounce that we have been elected as the winners of this years II Ruta de la Tapa of Periana.
Out of 10 different tapas from bars and restaurants in Periana, the public chose our tapa as the best!
Our tapa, made by our Kitchen Chef Visi and her team, was:

Wine tasting 27th of February
The 27th of February we had our first wine tasting of the year. And being it the the night before the Day of Andalucía, it was the theme of this month. So we tasted wines and dishes from our region! Clambs, gambas, goat and even churros! We enjoyed it very much and our guests even more! Looking forward to the next tasting!
Zambomba: a spanish Christmas party
On the 27th of December we celebrated our first Zambomba. A typical Spanish way to celebrate Christmas. The marvellous guitar player José brought a big part of his family to spoil us with the typical flamenco-inluenced Christmas song. Nobody was able to keep still, so we danced the night away!
Another great wine tasting!
Once again, we had a full house at our wine tasting with Pairing. Sommelier Ron Haarman from Malaga Guide Wine taught us about this exciting world and our Chef Visi Casado, together with our kitchen team, prepared the best accompaniments. Sign up for the next one!
Blind wine and food tasting!
On September 25th Ron Haarman took us by the hand in a blind wine and food tasting. But this time we did it blindfolded! Our guests enjoyed a great night of great wines, matching food, and off course they could admire the precious views when the blindfold was taken off!

Wine pairing!
Check the photo´s of our last wine pairing evening on June 27th. Ron Haarman, from Málaga Wineguide, and our chf Visi, made an exquisite 6 course menu with 6 wines. Ron explained all tecniques and other details of the wines he brought, and why they paired with the courses we served.
